Life expectancy for Aboriginal users of community health clinics in Toronto is 37: report
The average person in Toronto has a life expectancy of 75 years. But a new report by Anishnawbe Health Toronto,
a centre with the goal of improving health and well-being of Aboriginal
People, found that the average Aboriginal person who attended one of
four community health and social service clinics in the city have an
average lifespan of less than half that – only 37 years. For Aboriginal
men it is 34.
